Why validation

A strategy hypothesis is cheap. Evidence is not.

A simple backtest can look convincing while hiding fragile assumptions. FLAWLINE tests the same rule-based configuration under a fixed, auditable method.

01

Walk-forward evidence across out-of-sample windows

02

Fees and slippage applied before judgment

03

Trade count and activity sufficiency

04

Drawdown and robustness thresholds

05

Credibility warnings that expose weak evidence

How it works

Configure. Validate. Review the evidence.

01

Configure

Choose a supported strategy family, market, timeframe and parameters.

02

Validate

FLAWLINE applies the same deterministic historical methodology, trading-cost assumptions and robustness checks to the exact configuration.

03

Review evidence

See the verdict, metrics, checks, data source and downloadable evidence in HTML, JSON and PDF.

What we test

Fixed checks, not a search for winners.

01

Walk-forward validation

Out-of-sample windows expose results that depend on one convenient period.

02

Costs

Fees and slippage are included before the evidence is judged.

03

Trade activity

Too few closed trades cannot support a strong robustness claim.

04

Drawdown

Loss depth is compared with the same published threshold for every run.

05

Robustness criteria

Measured results are compared with the same fixed thresholds for every validation.

06

Credibility warnings

Diagnostics call out evidence that deserves less confidence.

Supported now

A defined, auditable strategy catalogue.

The beta currently supports three explicitly implemented strategy families with bounded parameters. Unsupported strategies are never guessed or approximated. The catalogue can expand as new strategy families are deliberately implemented, reviewed and tested.

Verdicts

A verdict summarizes historical evidence — not what you should trade.

REJECTED

This configuration did not pass one or more defined historical checks. REJECTED is a valid result, not a system failure.

WATCHLIST

This configuration passed the required checks by narrow margins. Review the weakest criteria carefully; this is not a recommendation or prediction.

PASSED

This configuration passed the defined checks over the historical coverage used. It is not a recommendation, prediction or guarantee of future performance.

Passing historical checks describes historical evidence only. It does not mean profitable, safe, recommended or ready to trade.

Real historical sample

A useful result can be REJECTED.

This preserved historical validation is presented as a public product sample. It shows how FLAWLINE reports weak evidence; it is not a newly generated validation.

Programmatic validation

API Access — Coming soon

Public API access is planned for integrating FLAWLINE historical validation into your own strategy-research pipelines and internal tools. Automate validation requests and retrieve results programmatically. It will not connect to exchanges or execute trades. API access and pricing will be separate from dashboard credit packs.

API access is planned and not yet available. Registering interest is not a contract or reservation, and no API price is committed.

Research and trust

Reproducible evidence without access to your money.

01

Deterministic

The same exact configuration, historical data and rules produce the same result.

02

Fixed checks

Thresholds are applied consistently and returned with observed values.

03

Data source and reproducibility

Reports include the coverage and identifiers needed to trace the evidence.

04

No exchange access

No API keys, broker OAuth, custody, signals or order execution.

FAQ

Clear scope, before you start.

What is FLAWLINE?

A deterministic product for validating exact configurations of explicitly supported rule-based strategy families against historical evidence.

Where do the supported strategies come from?

The current templates are explicit rule-based implementations built from established systematic-trading concepts such as ATR, Donchian channels, EMAs and RSI. Their rules and parameter ranges are implemented and bounded through FLAWLINE's research and testing process. They are not AI-generated recommendations, and inclusion in the catalogue does not imply profitability.

Why only three strategy families in the beta?

FLAWLINE uses a defined list of supported strategies so each family has known rules, bounded inputs and reproducible behavior. The initial beta starts with three distinct rule-based approaches rather than approximating strategies FLAWLINE does not support.

Does FLAWLINE tell me what to trade?

No. FLAWLINE does not currently generate strategies, signals, recommendations or orders. It validates configurations of the supported strategy families against historical evidence.

What does PASSED mean?

This exact configuration passed the defined checks over the historical coverage used. It is not a prediction, recommendation or guarantee of future performance.

Why is REJECTED useful?

It identifies which evidence failed before the configuration receives capital. Rejection is a result, not a system failure.

What markets are supported?

BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT and SOL/USDT on 1h, 4h and 1d timeframes. Validations use locally stored Binance public historical data, refreshed every 6 hours through the latest closed candle.

Can I upload my own strategy?

Not in the current beta. FLAWLINE validates the supported strategy families and their bounded parameters; it does not execute user-uploaded code. The catalogue can expand through explicitly implemented strategy families.

What access is available during the beta?

Eligible new verified users receive exactly 2 free beta validation credits. They have no cash value, are not transferable and are not automatically refilled. Paid access is not open yet.

Do I need an exchange account?

No. Validation uses historical market data and does not require an exchange account.

Does FLAWLINE connect to my exchange?

No. There is no exchange connection, API-key field or order execution.

Is this financial advice?

No. FLAWLINE provides historical validation evidence for research only.

How long does a validation take?

Processing time depends on the selected validation and current workload. FLAWLINE shows the actual processing state rather than inventing a completion percentage.
